Hebrews 4/12: For the Word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

The heresy of the rapture of the church III

As it is recounted by the histories that have survived until our days, about what the believers of the first century passed or had to go through, about the persecutions and tribulations that they suffered, the one who reads is profoundly impacted about the histories that have reached our times, that was terrible; but today we found ourselves with a grave contrast or contradiction, and is the following: By one side, we have the modern religious leaders, that have lived nothing, that have not passed through nothing, that have great mansions, luxury cars, and live sumptuous, opulent and very comfortable and pleasant lives, proclaiming to the four winds that soon they will be snatch to heaven, that the rapture of the church is coming, that the trumpet is about to be sound, that the sinners will be left behind, and that everything is about to end, and in the other side, we have the believers of the first century, who were more pure, more worthy, had the destiny of being persecuted, or being enslaved, or tortured, or being burned alive or to have all their belongings expropriated or being vanished or exiled, or to die devoured by the lions or savage dogs in the roman circus, they suffered and died for the cause of Jesus the Messiah, and to them, Jesus the Messiah did not said that they will be taken, but these modern religious leaders are saying that Jesus will take them in the clouds, that they will not suffer, because God will not allow that they, as sons of God, suffer and pass through the Great Tribulation.

So an unavoidable questions arises and is the following: How is that the believers of ancient times, passed through all which they passed, suffered what they suffered, and died for what they died for, and now these people come now and say that they will not suffer, and that they are going to be taken to heaven? How is that possible? Has this, any sense? Does history supports and corroborates this?

Let's see a little bit of history, the case of the apostle John, who was vanished due to the fierce persecution unleashed by the roman emperor Domitian to the isle of Patmos. John wrote to the seven churches the following: Revelation 1:9 " I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus the Messiah, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus the Messiah."

As it can be appreciated, it is being talked of a time of tribulation, of dangerous and anguish times, and that John was vanished for the sake of the Word of God and Jesus the Messiah, and that he was suffering tribulation the same way as many other brothers, but religious leaders nowadays, are preparing their suitcase to go to heaven, as if they were better, more worthy and pure than the believers from before, and if the believers of old were not freed by God from their fate, who are they to say that they are leaving? What crown do they have? What privileges do they hold?
